New materials are being developed worldwide, and many of these can be described as elastic bodies. To understand the properties of these materials, it is essential to identify the elastic constant tensors that govern their behavior. In this study, we applied PINNs, which incorporate governing equations into the loss function, to estimate elastic constants from limited displacement gradient data of silicon thin films. By analyzing the learned tensors, we identified the in-plane symmetry of the thin films, even without assuming cubic symmetry.
