This study aims to develop compact ultrashort pulse soft X-ray lasers (XRLs) by using laser-driven techniques. Here, we report the development of Ni-like ion plasma lasers of molybdenum (Mo) and silver (Ag) which operate at the wavelength of 18.9 and 13.9nm, respectively.
