Gold nanoplate exhibits multiple plasmon resonance with different resonance properties. Plasmon confines the electromagnetic field in the vicinity of the plate and forms a nano optical chiral field. However, relationship between geometry of nanostructure and induced optical chiral field is not well understood. Thus, visualizations of plasmon mode and nano optical chiral field are important for fundamental understandings of them. In this study, we performed the three-dimensional visualization of the optical chiral field near the plate using an aperture-type scanning near-field optical microscope. We revealed from visualizations and electromagnetic simulations that optical chiral field induced around a gold nanoplate is strongly dependent on polarization properties of plasmon excited in the nanoplate.
