As a self-sustaining power source for IoT sensor networks supporting Society 5.0, thermoelectric generators, which can generate electricity wherever there is a heat source, are attracted attention. However, many heat sources in our environment have curved surfaces, requiring thermoelectric generators to be bendable and stretchable. Therefore, by using origami and kirigami structures on the substrate, we have developed a stretchable thermoelectric generator that can be mounted to curved heat sources while using rigid thermoelectric materials with high thermoelectric performance.
