極細径内視鏡デバイスのイメージ手法としてスペクトル符号化法に基づく単一ファイバイメージングが提案されている．さらなる高解像度化を目指し，従来のシングルモードファイバを利用したエンコーダに変わり，マルチコアファイバを利用したエンコーダによる高画質化を検討した．画質評価をしたところ，従来法よりも高い精度を得られた．
