[16p-D63-11] Condensation of O vacancies under the rutile TiO₂ surfaces

Midgap states are critical for active photocatalytic reactions in rutile TiO2. O vacancies are good candidates for the midgap states, which have been known to migrate to the bulk after being generated on the surfaces. Since the O vacancies have attractive interactions, they may be condensed in bulk. We try to elucidate the O vacancy diffusion and O vacancy interacting with another O vacancy diffusion.
