[16p-P07-16] Development of Plastics for Radiation Education by UV Surface Modification

This laboratory is developing a soluble PADC (Poly Allyl Diglycool Carbnate) plastic for use in radiation education. However, there are still some problems such as long experimental time and the handling of deleterious substances in etching. In this study, we attempted to shorten the etching time and reduce the use of hazardous materials by surface modification of PADC by irradiating it with UV light. The experimental results showed that UV irradiation of PADC with polymerization inhibitors can shorten etching time and reduce the amount of deleterious substances used.
