In this presentation, we will report on the experimental results of the resonant properties and directional photoluminescence enhancement (PLE) utilizing the stacked metasurfaces. Two combinations were examined: the bottom metasurfaces were the TiO2 nanoparticle array for both samples, while the top ones were either Ag or TiO2 nanoparticle arrays. In both cases, the out-of-plane quadrupole surface lattice resonances (Q-SLRs) excited in the top metasurface extends into the bottom metasurface and intensifies the electromagnetic field in between. The dependence of Q-SLR excitation and PLE on the interlayer distance were explored for the both samples with the aid of numerical simulation.
