One of the intriguing properties of non-Hermitian optical systems is the emergence of topological features. Previous studies have reported methods to induce optical topological states using only parity-time (PT) symmetric perturbations, but there have been no applications to photonic crystals. In this paper, we report a new method to generate topological states by introducing a double periodic gain/loss perturbation into glide-symmetry photonic crystal waveguides.
