[17p-A35-2] Development trends of radiation detectors using perovskite semiconductors

Recently, perovskite semiconductors have been gaining attention in applications such as solar cells. They can be also used for radiation detection like other semiconductors. Especially, perovskite materials including heavy elements are suitable for detecting X-rays and gamma-rays because of their high interaction cross-section to photons. Another feature of perovskite materials is that it is relatively easy to produce crystals or thin films of them, which leads to low production cost. Because of these features, perovskite semiconcutors are being studied as radiation detector. The development trends in this research will be presented.
