Our laboratory group has developed a plant-insertable pH image sensor that can measure pH in plants under light irradiation. However, since the operating reference voltage of the conventional sensor is around 3.5 V, this sensor may cause a potential difference of 3.5 V to the plant during insertion into a plant. Therefore, we improved the sensor to operate without a potential difference with the plant and fabricated a sensor that operates at 0V. Measurement results showed that we succeeded in pH imaging at an operating reference voltage of 0V, a sensor with an improved operating reference voltage has been fabricated.
