In the case of droplet manipulation using acoustic waves on a glass/water layer/piezoelectric crystal structure (namely a three-layer structure), the droplet shape will change, and it is not easy to transport the droplet in a straight line. Therefore, it is impossible to transport onto a sensor fabricated on the glass and to prevent highly accurate analysis of the droplet. In this study, SLIPS (Slippery Liquid-Infused Porous Surfaces) were fabricated on glass to investigate the straightness of droplet manipulation. The experimental results showed that the droplets propagated straight.
