We have studied material identification with laser ultrasonic technology (LUT) and laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy.The LUT was used in order to evaluate a surface displacement for the compound materials. The experimental results shows a negative correlation between a recovery time of the displacement and hardness (Young’s modulus). Furthermore, we developed all-fiber-type LUT system which is indispensable for a remote measurement.
