Continuous-time quantum walk in a synthetic frequency dimension has been experimentally demonstrated using a frequency-stabilized external cavity diode laser and a LiNbO3 phase modulator. In this work, CTQW on a 2D square lattice was implemented and the behaviour was observed to be in good agreement with theoretical calculations.
