In this study, a thin-film humidity sensor based on the humidity dependence of the resistance of conductive polymers was developed and applied to measure plant transpiration activity. We investigated the effect of heat treatment for the conductive composite layer composed of self-doped polyaniline and polyvinyl alcohol on the tolerance to water and measured the resistance change of the sensor attached to the leaf surface during the turning on and off LED lights.
