In recent years, edge computing, in which data collected by IoT sensors is processed at the edge side, has been attracting attention in order to reduce the cost of communication and cloud computing, and various MEMS sensors with integrated AI chips have been developed. In this study, instead of an AI chip, a nonlinear resonator structure is integrated into an accelerometer, and a machine learning algorithm called "physical reservoir computing," which processes signals based on the resonator response, is implemented to determine vibration discrimination using only the sensor structure, aiming for low power consumption.
