Plasma-based mass transformation can improve stability and energy efficiency over conventional thermally catalysed chemical reactions. However, highly reactive particles also promote reverse reactions, resulting in low selectivity. In previous studies, we found molecular sieves remove the reverse reaction source from the gas phase and improve the CH4 selectivity in methanation reactions. In this study, the pore size was varied to clarify the contribution of its molecular sieve function and the surface reactions inside the pores.
