In this talk, we will reflect on what causality is, and formulate it as "a (non-deterministic) law regarding the transition of (local) states of quantum fields" (which can be written using the concepts of "classes of (local) states" and "classes of completely positive mappings between (local) category algebras") in the framework of the correspondence between "spacetime: category", "quantum field: category algebra", and "state of quantum field: state on category". We will also show that such law can be induced from the structure of spacetime as a causal category, and propose to reinterpret the dynamics of quantum fields as an aspect of causality in this sense.
