Recently, zero-index materials (ZIM) is attracting attention in terms of various applications. We experimentally observed zero-refractive index states with M-point Dirac cone of the core-shell photonic crystals. Through propagation measurements, we confirmed long-distance propagation, unique diffusion phenomena and low trancemittance in such condition. And refractive index measurements, we observed low refractive index (about 0.05) at Dirac-point frequency. So it is expected to apply light diffusion effect at Dirac-point to short-distance optical distributors.
