Calcium oxalate dihydrate and calcium oxalate monohydrate, the main components of kidney stones, were analysed using Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Characteristic absorption peaks of these two hydrates were found to identify them. These findings contribute to the diagnosis of urinary tract stones and subsequent treatment strategies.
