Microwave amplifiers using superconducting SIS mixers are expected to be small, low noise, and low power consumption amplifiers. These amplifiers require a millimeter wave band local oscillator source, and we are investigating Josephson array oscillators to achieve excellent low power consumption characteristics. In this study, we designed and fabricated a 150 GHz band Josephson array oscillator and evaluated its characteristics.
