To achieve bacterial test for bloodstream infection within one hour, we are developing microfluidic device-based gene testing system. Here, we report about DNA detection step in our testing flow. As a rapid DNA detection method, we focused on fluidic microarray, and investigated the method of its construction and DNA detection results. We found a trade-off between DNA damage and probe immobilization rate for probe immobilization reaction, and identified the reaction condition that maximize the signal. Then we developed fluidic microarray using the immobilization method and detected bacterial DNA. As a result, we could detect targeted DNA in 3 minutes for reaction time.
