Fullerenes have been attracting attention as a material that exhibits unique mechanical and electrical properties, such as extremely large elastic deformation as a molecular crystal. In this project, aiming to develop a new method for controlling the shape and structure of fullerene crystals, I evaluated the effects of a focused laser beam on the growth rate and direction of fullerene crystals and the properties of fullerene crystals. The results indicate that crystal formation and growth are controlled by the opto-physical effects of a focused laser beam.
