OLEDs emit light by carrier recombination in the light-emitting layer and require a drive voltage corresponding to the energy gap of the light-emitting material. As a strategy to reduce the voltage, we have developed exciplex up-conversion OLEDs (ExUC-OLEDs) . However, the relationship between the triplet-triplet upconversion (TTU) efficiency and the intermolecular state in the donor layer has not been well analyzed. In this study, upconversion layers were deposited by a coating method, and the effects of substituent and polymer doping concentration were investigated based on rubrene as the upconversion material.
