With the advancement of AI and robotics technologies, the automation of the research and development (R&D) process has advanced, freeing researchers and engineers from mundane tasks and enabling them to tackle complex challenges beyond cognitive and physical capabilities. In this talk, I will focus on the JST PRESTO area 'R&D Process Innovation' and discuss the current status and challenges of AI and robotics research for science and technology.
