波長1400 nm以上の近赤外光はアイセーフ領域と呼ばれ、網膜に対する最大許容露光量が他の波長域に比べて大きいため車載用LiDARの動作波長として採用されている。そのためこの波長域までシリコンベースの受光素子の感度帯を拡張する研究が広く行われている。本発表ではシリコンメタサーフェスのFabry-Pérot BICによる吸収増強を利用して1.5μm帯における光電流増強を実証する。
