The aim of this study is to elucidate the flow and shape of molten glass through numerical fluid dynamics (CFD: Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations. Previous studies, such as Miyamoto et al. (2013), have conducted simulations of temperature fields induced by localized heating with femtosecond lasers. In this research, we have integrated the heat source model used in these studies into OpenFOAM for fluid analysis and applied it to simulations using a thermal fluid analysis model. We constructed a simulation model that considers the temperature dependency of glass viscosity and analyzed the flow characteristics of glass in response to temperature changes by applying the heat source model within the volume.
