Fiber Bragg Grating

Fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) are devices that have diffraction gratings in the fiber core, and their periodicity changes when environmental condition, for example temperature or strain, changes. By observing a center-wavelength shift of the reflection spectrum, we can use FBGs as fiber sensor heads. We report on a real time sensing of FBG sensor using dual-wavelength differential detection technique.
