We study time- and wavelength-division multiplexed FBG sensor systems based on heterodyne detection technique. The system contains functions such as wavelength calibration using an acetylene gas cell, automatic data acquisition using a Labview software, and automatic scanning of the laser wavelength. Recently, we applied this system to “Bus-topology” sensor network. We report on a TDM-WDM multiplexed Bus-topology FBG sensing system with a sufficient S/N ratio and high wavelength resolution.
