Magnetochiral (MCh) effects known as directional birefringence for unpolarized electromagnetic waves are induced in a system with magnetism and chirality. MCh effects in natural materials are usually very weak, but it is possible to enhance the effects in metamolecules. In previous studies, the chirality of the metamolecule was given by spiral metallic structures or spirally arranged dielectric resonators.
In this presentation, we show that a metamolecule with spiral magnetic texture exhibits giant nonreciprocal response at microwave frequencies.
