This study describes the development of a selective crystal synthesis method using weathered biotite (WB) and molten salt method as a new creation method for ceramic humidity sensor materials.
Wadalite crystals, the matrix of humidity sensor materials, were obtained by heat treatment of WB using the molten salt method. In this study, we report on the conditions under which wadalite crystals are synthesized with high purity by comparing the molten-salt method with mixed-salt and single-salt methods.
