An optical frequency comb (OFC) has become a promising light source for wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) communication. The increasing demand for greater bandwidth and spectral efficiency can be met by using OFC generators, which substitute numerous laser sources with a single laser source. An OFC features a set of equidistant spectral lines, which eradicate frequency control of each line. In this manuscript, broadband optical frequency comb is generated by cascading of dual-drive Mach Zehnder modulator (DD-MZM) with frequency modulator (FM). The obtained optical carriers are 32 with 2 dB flatness in frequency band of 642 GHz. In order to enhance the subcarriers of generated OFC at output of DD-MZM, FM act as subcarrier booster. Thus proposed OFC generator is proficient to produce 159 comb lines with 4 dB flatness in bandwidth of 541 GHz. The proposed OFC is applicable in telecommunication network, quantum optics as well as high precision spectroscopy.
