Kobe University has been conducting laser-driven ion acceleration experiments using cluster targets in collaboration with the Kansai Photon Science Institute (KPSI). In this study, pinhole imaging of ions generated near the focal point was performed using a solid-state track detector CR-39 in order to investigate the effect of laser prepulse in laser-driven ion acceleration experiments using an argon cluster target.
