To verify the effectiveness of Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT), which is attracting attention as a new cancer treatment, neutron measurement technology is essential. We have developed a optical-fiber-based neutron detector using Li glass scintillators and successfully created Li glass spheres with diameters ranging from 250 to 350 μm. When these processed Li glass spheres were attached to the tip of the optical-fiber and exposed to thermal neutrons, it was confirmed that there was almost no impact on the luminescence, and a stable response was observed.
