The orbital Hall effect (OHE), in which orbital-polarized electrons flow in a solid, has been extensively studied for potential applications in spin-orbitronics devices. In this presentation, we report the results of our analysis to understand the one-to-one correspondence between OHE and band structure. As a result, the band structure analysis by first-principles calculations reveals that the orbital hole conductivity of Ru1-xPtx alloys behaves approximately as a rigid band, which is like that of spin Hall conductivity.
