We have developed a high-repetition-rate (50 kHz) 11-eV beamline based on the third-harnomic geneartion in Krypton and Xenon gases, using the third harmonic of a turnkey Yb:KGW laser at 343 nm. CaF2 focusing lens and input window are used, and transmissive LiF output window is utilized to ease the ultrahigh vacuum requirements. An optimized generation condition in 8.7 kPa of Kr is achieved with the conversion efficiency as high as 1.5×10-4. This setup is sufficient for time-resolved ARPES as well as potential VUV nonlinear spectroscopy applications.
