We report the development status of a 100 mJ-class mid-infrared sub-cycle laser using the Advance DCOPA method. With calculation, a broad spectrum from 1.2 μm to 3.2 μm can be amplified by using BiBO and MgO:LN crystals. Based on these calculations, amplification was demonstrated with each crystal, and it was confirmed that the bandwidth is enough wide for the development of a 100 mJ-class sub-cycle laser. In addition, the spectral phase was also measured using the SHG-FROG method, and pulse compression was actually performed.
