Silicon nanoparticles exhibit electric and magnetic Mie resonances and therefore, have attracted attention as a nanoantenna to enhance light-matter interaction. We describe a polarization-resolved scattering measurement technique for monodisperse solutions of spherical silicon nanoparticles that enables us to separate Mie resonance modes and experimentally demonstrate the intensities and the phase relationships of each Mie resonance modes and the behavior of the circularly polarized near field. We also discuss the differences in scattering properties of materials with different resonance modes based on the results of the polarization-resolved scattering measurements.
