Flexible electronics using polymer nanosheets, with a thickness of several micrometers or less, have high flexibility and adhesiveness. However, when a tensile load is applied to an electrode for external connection, the nanosheet around the electrode breaks due to the difference in stiffness. We studied the effect of electrode shape on tensile tolerance by fabricating multiple holes in the electrode. The results show a trade-off of breaking force between increasing the length of the electrode circumference and the adhesion of the nanosheets through holes. The highest tensile tolerance was obtained by fabricating the maximum number of holes within the sheet attached through the holes.
