The nitrogen trioxide (NO3) radical is a simple molecule consisting only of nitrogen and oxygen, but because of its high reactivity, there are few examples of its synthesis at densities exceeding 1013 cm-3. In this study, we achieved high density synthesis of NO3 radicals by using dinitrogen pentoxide (N2O5) synthsized at high density and high selectivity using air plasma, and the density was measured by the fabricated optical measuring device. In this paper, we discuss in detail the further densification and selectivity of NO3 radicals and reaction mechanism through a 0-dimensional reaction model.
