We will report synthesis and characterization of CuPc(CN)₈ which is a new n-type organic semiconductor. It was found that frontier orbitals of CuPc(CN)₈ were stabilized due to introduction of cyano-groups. Electrical conductivity was also improved. The crystal structure, electronic structure and other properties of CuPc(CN)₈ will be discussed through comparison with CuPc and FePc(CN)₈ in the presentation.
