[20p-P02-19]Synthesis of α-MgAgSb using melting method

In recent years, α-MgAgSb has attracted attention due to its high thermoelectric performance. It exhibits low lattice thermal conductivity less than 1 W/mK and high ZT value. In most reports, α-MgAgSb was synthesized by mechanical alloying, which is unsuitable for mass production. Nevertheless, establishing a process that is easy to scale up is essential for practical use. Melting method is one of a suitable process that can be applied to commercial use. Thus, in this study, we tried to optimize synthesis process of α-MgAgSb using melting method.Details about synthesis process as well as their thermoelectric properties will be reported in the conference.
