Manganese phthalocyanine (MnPc) has promising properties for applications in optoelectronic devices. However, its low solubility and strong aggregation in common solvents limit its use in solution-processed devices. In this study, MnPc nanoparticles were synthesized by laser ablation in liquid (LAL), a top-down, surfactant-free method that allows control over particle morphology by tuning laser parameters. The powder was dispersed in water and irradiated with a nanosecond-pulsed Nd:YAG laser (532 nm), then extracted into chloroform for spin coating. Nanoparticles were characterized by SEM, DLS, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Thin films were fabricated by spin coating and analyzed using AFM, a Dektak profilometer, and UV-Vis. SEM showed particle sizes around 100-200 nm. The UV-Vis spectrum of the thin film confirmed the characteristic optical absorption of MnPc. This approach enables improved colloidal stability and thin film formation for optoelectronic applications.
