In this study, we investigated the application of an optical vortex coronagraph to improve background light suppression in Brillouin scattering spectroscopy. To clarify the effects of different optical vortex generation methods on extinction performance and optical efficiency, optical systems using an SLM and a spiral phase plate were constructed and evaluated using a 532 nm laser. Based on these results, suitable optical vortex generation methods for Brillouin scattering spectroscopy were examined.
