The evaluation of nonlinear optical constants (d) using second-harmonic generation (SHG) is an effective method for characterizing ferroelectric nematic liquid crystals; however, the reason why the d15 component is observed only in certain molecules remained unclear. In this study, we investigated the material dependence of DIO/EST-based mixed liquid crystals and succeeded in extracting the previously buried d15 and d31 components by using polarization-resolved SHG. While d15 did not depend on the material composition ratio, d33 increased significantly with an increase in the EST ratio. We found that the apparent absence of d15 in certain systems is caused by masking by the massive d33 component.
