This presentation reports second-harmonic generation (SHG) of a Si nanorod dimer structure coated with a nonlinear optical (NLO) polymer. We aimed to enhance the SHG at high-Q resonances associated with quasi-bound states in a continuum (qBIC) by utilizing the bulk second-order nonlinear susceptibility of the NLO polymer. The SHG intensity from the NLO polymer-coated Si nanorod dimer was approximately 250 times larger than that from the PMMA-coated reference structure. This enhancement is considered to originate from the coupling between the resonant optical fields near and between the neighboring Si nanorods and the bulk second-order nonlinear response of the NLO polymer.
