Crystalline silicon solar modules without encapsulants have advantages in terms of recyclability and long-term reliability, they suffer from high reflectivity, which reduces light absorption. In this study, to reduce reflection losses, we filled the interior of the module with silicone oil having a refractive index comparable to that of the polycarbonate used for the cover material, and further verified the effectiveness of a moth-eye structure applied to the cover material in suppressing reflection.
