With the advancement of neutron utilization, inexpensive and simple dosimetry methods are increasingly required; however, current detection technologies face challenges regarding simplicity and quantification. To address these issues, this study aimed to develop a thermoluminescent glass for neutron detection that offers a low-cost, simple, and highly quantitative approach by utilizing the thermoluminescence phenomenon. Specifically, Li2O–MgO–P2O5 glasses doped with Tb3+ as a luminescent center were fabricated, and their thermoluminescence characteristics after thermal neutron irradiation were investigated.
