Nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond have attracted considerable attention as highly sensitive quantum sensors. In this study, we developed a scanning diamond NV center probe microscope capable of operating under ultra-high vacuum conditions to suppress surface contamination and adsorbed molecules and to enable highly sensitive detection of electron spins. A confocal optical system, microwave delivery system, and atomic force microscopy mechanism were constructed. Photoluminescence imaging and optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR) signals were successfully obtained under low-vacuum conditions. We will report the implementation of the system under ultra-high vacuum and its extension to pulsed measurements.
