In recent years, the modification of the interface between the charge transport layer and the active layer using phenethylammonium iodide (PEAI) has been reported as an effective strategy for enhancing the performance of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) . However, the mechanism responsible for the improved device performance remains unclear. In this work, electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy was utilized to analyze charge-carrier dynamics in PEAI-modified PSCs, with particular focus on the effect of PEAI on interfacial charge states.
